While exploring an 1880 pioneer house, I discovered fragments of original wallpaper tucked away like a secret. Its delicate florals and faded charm instantly transported me back in time. 🌿✨

I discovered that unlike many old homes with layers and layers of wallpaper, this was the first and only layer. It was in remarkable condition considering it was over 140 years old! You could see how each design was stamped or block printed one motif at a time!

I started by drawing each motif by hand to look as similar to the original as possible.

Then, I "vectorized" the hand drawn designs and put them into a pattern using Adobe Illustrator.

I re-created that piece of history as part of my chinoiserie collection — a way to honor old-world beauty while weaving it into something new. Each brushstroke carries both nostalgia and a modern touch, reminding me that design is truly timeless.

What do you think of my new Damask seamless pattern?

This timeless pattern can be used for wallpaper, fabric, and home decor. Tell me in the comments where you would like to use this design in your home?
